WHAT'S NEW

The Knewton Alta Chemistry courses are continuously evolving as we add to existing features and develop new ones.  We’d like to introduce you to some brand-new features which will be available for use in Fall 2024 . . . 

Scaffolded Questions

Scaffolded questions will take students through a practice problem step-by-step, allowing them to see how the question is solved each step of the way. Once they’ve reviewed and practiced the scaffolded problem, they can solve a similar one in the adaptive flow.  

Application Questions

Recognizing that students in General Chemistry are pursuing different degrees and careers, new applications questions have been added that feature examples from green chemistry, biomedical chemistry, and even applications from business and humanities. 

  • Pooled questions will be expanded to ensure that every learning objective has a pooled assignment option.
  • Drag-and-Drop Questions will be doubled. There will be 400+ questions for Fall 2024.
  • New videos are being added to the course - including problem solving and answer explanation videos.
